We have started preparation for the 3rd World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue which will take place on May 18-19, 2015 in Baku, Azerbaijan, says Abulfas Garayev, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The 3rd World Forum with main title "Culture and sustainable development in the post 2015 development agenda" will focus primarily on projects and programmes dedicated to the 21st of May-World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development declared by the UN General Assembly, as well as the role of faith, religions, migration, sport, education, art, business in building trust and cooperation among cultures and civilizations.
The network of the Forum is expanding by its next edition and now we want to go far by boosting involvement of senior politicians, policy-makers, academics and community practitioners, not just as attendees or even participants but also as directors/innovators/agenda-setters.
Mr. Garayev highligted that country-wide best TV programme and essay contest will be carried out during February 1 - May 1, 2015 on the topic of "intercultural Dialogue aimed at raising awareness about this important event as well as facilitate the role of youth in adressing challenges faced in dealing with intercultural dialogue ussues.
Our team is has started to the preparation of 2015 Forum and we encourage all interested stakeholders to join us and share their experience in this world important event, states the Minister in this concluding words.
